My husband is a car enthusiast, consequently we have had some really wonderful world-class cars. He’s also a shade-tree EXCELLENT mechanic so that made it possible to afford them! If you’ve taken a Porsche to the dealer to work on, then you know what I mean.
My all time favorites are the Corvettes we’ve had. (That might be because I wrecked one of our Porsches.)
BMWs, Mercedes, you name it, we’ve owned at least one “pre-owned” one on your list. My husband can find the best, fairly reasonable in price, “pre-owned world-class cars better than anyone. Several of our friends can tell you about how many great cars they’ve owned that he found for them.
Anyway, because of him, I’ve ALWAYS kept my car neat. NEVER trashed out. Not always clean but very tidy. And let me tell you, on stressful days, getting into whatever car he has me in at the time really relaxes me. Even just walking out to it – the minute I see it, it lifts my spirits. A car can do that. But only if you keep it neat.
I’ll talk more about how to do that later. Right now I have to hop into my red Lexus coupe and head for the park with my dog. We must get outside today and walk, even just for 15 minutes. Just as an aside, if you know me, you know that I have read Marla’s ranting a lot. www.FlyLady.net She says the cure for procrastination is to realize “You can do anything for 15 minutes.” Very true. This post took less than that.
